Overlapping Action assignment

 

This was a challenge to try and figure out timing along with maintaining principles of physics in my work so the movement looks realistic. It was interesting to learn about breaking down movement and translating it into time frames. As the object that overlaps, I chose a hypnotic pendulum as it is an object that perfectly embodied the assignment guidelines with respect to its movement. The changing colors on the pendulum make the hypnotic theme of the work more effective.
